Tom Medema

Tom Medema is the Founder and CEO of Bubbles. Prior to Bubbles, Tom was the Chief Technology Officer at bloomon from October 2014 to June 2018. At bloomon, Tom helped scale up the company from 0 to 130 employees with 20 engineers. Tom also implemented an organizational structure with multidisciplinary product teams and oversaw the technical landscape, going from a monolith to microservices.

Before bloomon, Tom founded NL.AE in September 2008, a domain registrar that in 2014 hosted more than 75,000 domains.

Tom Medema completed a Master of Science in Chinese Economy and Business at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science in Chinese Economy and Business at Leiden University. Tom also holds a Bachelor of Science in International Economics and Business from the University of Groningen. Tom has also completed an exchange program in Cross-cultural management at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).
