Jim Collins

Jim Collins has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry. Jim began their career in 2003 as Co-Founder and CTO of ICOO Soft Ltd. In 2008, they co-founded ICOO Consulting, where they served as Co-Founder and CTO. In 2012, they joined BubbleUp as CTO, where they were responsible for the overall efficient running of local and offshore engineering teams. Jim also led the development of several complex business critical web and mobile applications for startups as well as Fortune 500 clients. Additionally, they directed the migration of the company's AWS cloud to infrastructure as a code (IaC) patterns and introduced Progressive Web Application (PWA) paradigm across the sales, development and design teams. Jim also re-architected the company's in-house built CMS/Membership management platform for high stability, performance, and scalability under extreme load conditions, and reduced the footprint and infrastructure operating budget by 30%. Later, they were promoted to VP of Technology, where they were responsible for hiring and training of software engineers and systems administrators for local and offshore teams. Jim also led all aspects of architecture, software development and support for over a hundred projects for clients in entertainment, healthcare and corporate industries. Jim architected scalable and highly available AWS cloud based infrastructure, implemented custom web application firewall (WAF), cleaned up and sanitized legacy systems and code base for 600+ websites, passed SAQ-D level PCI-DSS audit, and architected and led development of the company's proprietary CMS system, in-house CI/CD system for developers and server templates. Jim also introduced serverless patterns to the company and led development of the first microservices built on top the AWS infrastructure.

Jim Collins earned a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Informatics and Robotics from Jobs in Russia. Jim also attended Ufa Minor Academy of Management, studying Management.
