Christopher Schmieg

Christopher Schmieg has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Christopher started their career as a Professional Cyclist at Team Milram from 2008 to 2011. Christopher then worked as a Student Assistant at Lehrstuhl für Steuerrecht from 2013 to 2014. In 2017, they joined Freiburger Datenschutzgesellschaft mbH as a juristischer Mitarbeiter until 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they served as the Data Protection Officer and Legal Counsel at Festo Vertrieb GmbH & Co. KG. Christopher also worked as a Dipl.-Jur. at Landgericht Stuttgart from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, they joined Andersen in Germany as an Associate Lawyer until 2021. In the same year, they founded their own company, Schmieg Legal, where they currently hold the position of Rechtsanwalt | Founder. Since 2021, they have been working at Bucherer AG, first as a Legal Counsel and currently as the Head of Global Data Privacy & Digital Risks.
