Michael Riggins

Michael Riggins is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Associate at Buckley LLP since May 2021, following a previous tenure as an Associate at Vinson & Elkins from September 2019 to May 2021. Riggins began their legal career as a Summer Associate at Vinson & Elkins in 2018 and gained valuable experience as a Legal Intern at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office in 2017. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Riggins had a significant impact in education, serving as the Director of High School Readiness at Brookside Charter School from 2014 to 2016, where innovative programs were created to support student transition to high school. Additionally, Riggins taught as an Elementary School Teacher with Teach For America from 2012 to 2014 and worked as a PhD and Master's Thesis Editor at Montezuma Publishing. Riggins holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government and English Literature from San Diego State University.
