Bud Geo... is non-profit and non-governmental organization from Olomouc, the Czech Republic.

Bud Geo... organizes mainly student geography/geocaching competition “GeoKacer” since 2008.

In 2008 we have organized two projects: GeoKacer 2008 (high-school students geocaching competition) and Bud Geo...Vysocina (5-months educational project for high-school students about geography and geographic informational systems (GIS)). We have also made a DVD with presentations and open-source programmes for GIS.

GeoKacer 2009 was 2nd year of our successful geocaching competition, which was not just about geocaching, but also about taking pictures, making maps or doing geography quizzes.

In 2010 GeoKacer 2010 was already 3rd year of our flagship project. We had over 150 youth from our region actively taking part. Please see some pictures in our photo-gallery.

Besides GeoKacer we co-organize GIS Day together with Department of Geoinformatics at Palacky University in Olomouc (geoinformatics.upol.cz) and in 2010 we organized first GeoSeminar for high-school teachers about usage of GIS software in geography classes.
