Conrad Heard

Conrad Heard has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Conrad began their career as a Business Consultant at CompuWiz in 2001 and then moved on to Novamarque Ltd in 2003, where they developed and maintained websites on the LAMP stack. At Nisbets from 2012 to 2014, Conrad supported and developed business critical systems using various technologies. Conrad then worked at Hargreaves Lansdown as a Web Developer from 2014 to 2016.

From 2016 to 2020, Conrad held various roles at Lifetime Training and WH Smith Retail, where they developed internal software and key internal systems using C#, MVC, Web API, and WPF. During this period, they also gained experience in agile methodology and maintenance of Azure cloud infrastructure.

Conrad joined Nessy Learning in 2020 as a Senior Developer, where they delivered internal system development using C# .NET Core on the Microsoft Azure platform. Conrad also developed applications for the company's internal systems and contributed to investigations into new development directions.

In 2021, Conrad worked as a Developer at Lifetime Training, focusing on C# development for key internal systems. Conrad then moved on to The Planning Inspectorate in 2022 as a Senior Team Lead before joining Bud Systems as a Senior Developer in the same year. In their current role, Conrad is responsible for modernizing Framework applications to .Net Core and adopting a more DevOps approach, including Configuration in Code for rapid provisioning and deployment to Azure.

Conrad Heard received their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of the West of England, where they attended from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their undergraduate education, Conrad has obtained various certifications, including Specialist: C# from Microsoft in November 2013, MCSA: SQL Server 2012 from Microsoft in October 2013, MCP: Microsoft Certified Professional from Microsoft in August 2013, MCSD1: Visual Studio 6 from Microsoft in July 2002, and MCSE: Data Platform from Microsoft in October 2013. Conrad also holds certifications from Lotus Development, including Certified Lotus Professional (Systems Administration V6), Developing Applications with Lotus Workflow 3, and Principal Certified Lotus Professional (V6).
