Shawn Lin

Shawn Lin has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as Co-Founder at BUD, a Series B startup focused on building a Web3 Metaverse Platform. The company is backed by prominent investors including Sequoia Capital India & SEA, NetEase, Clearvue Partners, Northern Lights, Qiming Venture Partners, GGV Capital, Source Code Capital, and Sky9 Capital.

Prior to their entrepreneurial venture, Shawn worked as a Software Engineer at Snap Inc. for three years, from March 2016 to June 2019. Shawn gained valuable experience in software development during their time there.

Shawn's professional journey began with an internship as a Software Engineer at Meta in 2015. Although the internship was for a short period from May to August, it provided him with valuable exposure to the industry.

Before that, Shawn was a Research Intern at ITHAKA in 2014, where they gained research experience in an academic setting.

Shawn Lin has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering from Tongji University.
