John Kells

John Kells is the Co-Managing Partner of GD1 VC, an institutional venture capital firm focused on investing in New Zealand founders and their companies. With a diverse background in finance, John previously spent 14 years at GLG Partners as an Equity Analyst and later managed significant investments at Tesco Pension Investment. After founding Kelson FunScreen and engaging in angel investing, John fully immersed in the venture capital space with GD1 since 2017. Additionally, John actively contributes to several companies as a Board Observer, including VXT and Simfuni, and holds leadership roles at Flowingly and StretchSense.
