Camilla Kayed has a strong background in child advocacy and management, having served as the Head of the Child Rights Division at the Ombudsman for Children in Norway from 2003 to 2022. Prior to this, they were a project manager at Oslo Red Cross and an activity leader with the Oslo kommune. Currently, Kayed is the Avdelingsdirektør at Bufdir, a position they took on in 2025, and they also play a role as a Senior Academic Advisor at the Norwegian Health Authority until 2025. Kayed holds a Master's degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Oslo and completed studies at Handelshøyskolen BI in 2017.
