David Plunkett has over 35 years of experience in software development. David began their career in 1982 as a Masters Student at Purdue University Cadlab. David then worked as a Software Engineer at UniCAD from 1984 to 1988, followed by a role as a Member of Technical Staff at Solbourne from 1988 to 1990. In 1990, they co-founded CadZooks, a software product company for architects and engineers, which was acquired by Autodesk in 1997. David then worked as Director of Desktop Development at Autodesk from 1997 to 2003. In 2003, they founded BugSplat.com, a crash reporting service for software development teams, which is installed on more than 100 million desktops worldwide. In 2004, they became Co-founder and EVP of Development at Newforma, Inc. until the company was acquired in 2017. David currently works as a Mentor at Galvanize Inc.
David Plunkett attended Purdue University from 1978 to 1984, where they earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Computer Graphics.
