Head Of Bühler Insect Technology

Andreas Baumann has extensive experience in food process engineering and insect technology, currently serving as the Head of Bühler Insect Technology at Bühler Group since July 2010. In this role, Andreas oversees the development of industrial solutions that convert organic residues into quality ingredients through innovative insect-based processes. Prior to this position, Andreas held roles including Head of R&D Insect Technology, Expert Protein Value Chain, and Project Manager R&D, contributing to advancements in protein production and new process technologies. Andreas also has a strong research background from ETH Zürich, where roles included Research Assistant and Student Research Assistant, focusing on food process engineering and collaborations with industry. Andreas holds a doctorate in Food Process Engineering and a diploma in Food Science, both from ETH Zürich.
