Mark Soberman

Mark Soberman is an experienced professional in product management and research and development, currently serving as Deputy Head of Product Management and Product Manager at Bühler Group since February 2023. Prior to this role, Mark was the Director of Research and Development at Evanesce, where significant contributions included the development of a plant-based compostable meat tray, global supplier engagement, and technical project management for sustainable packaging, along with a pending patent for molded starch fiber packaging. Mark holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto, complemented by a collaborative specialization in Environmental Science, and has previously excelled as a teaching assistant at both the University of Toronto and Queen’s University. Academic achievements include research focused on electrospun nanofiber composite membranes for water purification, with a strong foundation in both technical and regulatory aspects of engineering.
