Markus Hofer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in advanced materials and technology development. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at RhySearch since January 2021, Markus has held multiple significant positions at Bühler Group, including VP of Business Development for Advanced Materials and Director of New Technologies since March 2006. Additionally, Markus contributes to Empa as a Member of the Industrial Advisory Board since July 2013. Previous roles include VP of Extrusion Systems and Head of R&D for Specialty Foods at Buhler AG, as well as leadership positions at Balzers Process Systems and research roles at ETH Zürich and CERN. Markus holds a Dr. sc. techn. degree in Process Engineering from ETH Zürich and completed a PED at IMD.
