Buildathons aren't events.
They're strategic instruments.
Lovable, Cursor, Claude removed the "you need to code" barrier. Anyone can go from idea to working prototype in a weekend — and that changes what a hackathon is for.

For product companies
A PMF accelerant. Three months of roadmap learning compressed into one weekend.

For early stage VC
A founder sourcing engine. See how builders think under pressure and spot conviction before the pitch deck.

For communities
A re-engagement engine. Shift members from passive consumers to active creators.

For internal teams
An AI-adoption tool. Turn top-down mandates into bottom-up pride and momentum.
