Stanley Chen

Stanley Chen has over 18 years of professional experience in software engineering. Stanley began their career in 2001 at 3up Systems as a Software Engineer. In 2002, they moved to Telewise Communications as a Software Engineer. Stanley then moved to NexTag in 2004 as a Software Engineer. In 2006, they joined Google as a Software Engineer, where they worked on frontend web development on internal big data tools and was the tech lead for client-side work. In 2014, they became the CTO of SayWhat, an early stage startup building iOS and Android apps in the language learning space. In 2016, they founded Flat Thirteen, Inc., a self-funded startup developing a web-based game to teach music. Lastly, in 2019, they became the Head of Software Engineering at Cover Technologies Inc.

Stanley Chen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley between 1997 and 2001. Afterward, they attended Cornell University from 2003 to 2004, where they earned a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science.
