Emily Brown has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Emily began their career as a Correspondent and later an Opinion Columnist for the University Daily Kansan in 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Bookseller at Barnes & Noble. Emily then joined the University of Kansas Writing Center, where they served as both an Undergraduate and Graduate Writing Consultant, as well as a Writing Fellow from 2014 to 2016.

In 2016, they worked as a Judicial Intern at the Sedgwick County District Court and later served as a Legal Intern at the Disability Rights Center of Kansas. Following this, Emily worked as a Legal Intern at the Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office and the Wyandotte County District Attorney's Office from 2017 to 2018.

From 2018 to the present, Emily has been associated with Builder Designs. Emily initially worked as a Client Liaison but later transitioned into the role of Customer Rep for the LocationOne Application. Emily also served as the Director of Technical Support and the In-House Counsel. As of August 2022, they are currently working as the Director of Customer Success at Builder Designs. Throughout their career, Emily has gained valuable experience in customer support, legal work, and writing consultation.

Emily Brown earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Journalism: News and Information (BSJ) from The University of Kansas in 2015. Emily is also certified with a Kansas Bar License obtained in 2020 and a Missouri Bar License obtained in 2017. In addition, Emily has a certification in Professional Research from LexisNexis, although the specific date is unknown.
