Anne Murray

Head of People, Marketing, & Products at Builder Homesite

Anne is passionate about developing leaders and teams to maximize their performance and drive higher levels of engagement. In her current role she oversees the HR, Marketing, and Product teams at BHI/BDX. Prior to joining BHI/BDX, Anne formed the Murray Leadership Group to share her strengths based, leadership development experience after a twenty-seven-year career at Southwest Airlines, a company well known for its People and Culture.

While at Southwest, Anne held numerous senior leadership positions. Most recently, she served as Senior Advisor, Employee Engagement, championing the strategic development of the Employee Experience of the future. Prior to that role, Anne served as Senior Director of Marketing Communication and led the strategic planning and development for the Southwest brand across all Customer communication channels. She enjoyed her leadership role in directing the voice and personality of one of the most respected and loved brands in the highly competitive airline industry.

Anne was at the center of Southwest Airlines online success in driving revenue for southwest.com, the most successful airline website in the industry. She also held the position of Promotions Director, overseeing the marketing strategy for sports and event sponsorships, as well as media partnerships both nationally and locally. She was critical in the negotiation of the first significant partnerships for the Southwest brand with strategic partners such as Coca Cola, Disney, the NFL, and Busch Entertainment.

Anne has received numerous external awards but is most proud of her internal recognition at Southwest Airlines, including the prestigious President’s Award and being nominated as well as serving on the Company’s Culture Committee for many years ensuring the brand stayed true to its mission of delivering exceptional Customer Service.

Evidence of her passion for the industry, Anne has participated as a keynote and guest speaker at numerous events and conferences. An active contributor to the Marketing community, she held leadership positions for the Dallas Fort Worth Interactive Marketing Association, DMG Events, and the Promotion Marketing Association. She is also a Gallup Certified Strengths Facilitator and Coach.
