Tama Smith

Tama Smith is an experienced professional currently serving as an Idea Accelerator Builder at Builders + Backers, where the focus is on equipping and funding early-stage entrepreneurs. In addition, Tama holds the position of Director Of Operations at MySahara Tea, a company dedicated to sharing African culture through responsibly sourced teas from Nigeria. Since January 2015, Tama has also been the Executive Assistant for the Global African Business Association, which supports businesses in fostering global trade and economic development, particularly for minority women-owned enterprises. Tama possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management with a minor in Geography from Eastern Michigan University, as well as two Associate's Degrees in Dietetic Technician and Foodservice Systems Administration/Management from Wayne County Community College District.
