Jon Walker

Jon Walker has extensive work experience in the technology field. Jon began their career as a Software Engineer at Xing Technology in 1991 and then moved on to become a Senior Software Engineer at Nortel from 1994 to 1996. Jon then joined Miramar Systems as their CTO from 1996 to 2003. Jon also held the role of Migration Editor at Linux World Magazine from 2003 to 2005. Jon then became the CTO of Versora from 2003 to 2006. In 2006, they co-founded AppFolio and served as their Chief Technology Officer and Founder until August 2023. From 2011 to 2013, Jon worked as a University Lecturer at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Jon currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at Buildertrend, starting in June 2023.

Jon Walker attended Westmont College from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a major in Economics and Business. In addition to their formal education, Jon obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Stanford University in April 2021, under the instruction of Andrew Ng.
