Building with Microbes ApS is developing a technology platform for circular and low-emission alternatives for structural building materials. Amounting to 37% of global carbon emissions, the building industry requires a sharp turn towards better materials. Load-bearing elements which are conventionally mostly relying on cement- of mineral-based solutions can most significantly reduce a buildings carbon footprint.

At Building with Microbes, we are therefore developing a structural building material that turns away from virgin material extraction and high energy emissions during production, while reducing waste caused by the same industry. We strive for high impact and large scale implementation and build on a resilient and global material stream.
