Basem Sopeh

Basem Sopeh has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Basem started their career as a Network Engineer at Syrian Telecom in October 2011, where they worked until October 2016. In March 2020, Basem joined Rosenmeister Legal Tech GmbH as a Python Developer, and their employment ended in June 2020. Most recently, they joined BuildingMinds in March 2021 as a Data Science Specialist (WS). In March 2022, Basem was promoted to the position of Data Scientist, where they are currently employed.

Basem Sopeh's education history includes a Master of Science degree in Data Science from the Berlin University of Applied Sciences Berlin (BHT), which they pursued from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Information Technology from the same institution from 2018 to 2020. Basem obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Damascus University from 2005 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Basem has obtained various certifications. Basem completed the Applied Data Science Capstone and IBM Data Science Specialization courses from Coursera in September 2020. Basem also obtained certifications in Git: Branches, Merges, and Remotes, Machine Learning with Python, Data Visualization with Python, MySQL Essential Training, Data Visualization: Storytelling, Data Analysis with Python, Data Science Methodology, Databases and SQL for Data Science, Python for Data Science and AI, Open Source tools for Data Science, and Data Science Orientation from various platforms such as Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, and Coursera Course Certificates.

Furthermore, Basem has attended training courses including "The Mirror that Leads to Employability" from Youthnet Hellas in July 2018, and "Immigration & Diversity" from ENTRE RIVES and OFAJ in March 2018. Basem also obtained a Diploma in Business Management Technology from ILLAFTrain in January 2016 and certifications in AB-NLP & Time Management from the International Center for Human Construction in July 2014 and ICDL (International Computer Driving License) from the European Computer Driving License Foundation in April 2011. Additionally, Basem became an Employability Ambassador through Erasmusplus in November 2007 and obtained an IELTS certification from the British Council in November 2017.
