Antonio Balza

Antonio Balza has extensive work experience in operations and IT, with a focus on SaaS operations and the implementation of cloud infrastructure. Antonio has held various roles in different companies, starting with RealPage, Inc. in 2022 as the VP of Cloud Operations.

Prior to that, Balza worked at Buildium from 2017 to 2021, initially as the Director of SaaS Operations and later promoted to the Senior Director of SaaS Operations. During their time at Buildium, they led the modernization of their technical infrastructure to the public cloud, implemented Infrastructure as Code methodologies, and introduced a DevOps culture across the engineering organization. Antonio also transformed the operations team from a reactive, ticket-based organization to an agile team working alongside development teams. Balza played a key role in achieving PCI compliance at the highest level and implemented monitoring and alerting mechanisms that resulted in over 99.99% application availability.

Prior to Buildium, Balza worked at HealthcareSource from 2005 to 2017. Starting as a Senior Operations Engineer, they gradually advanced to the role of Director of SaaS Operations & IT. In this position, Balza led the SaaS Operations team in planning, implementing, and deploying HealthcareSource products. Antonio managed a $5M technology budget, contributed to successful acquisitions, and maintained information security processes. As the Technical Operations Manager, Balza managed a team of senior operation engineers, streamlined processes, and introduced agile methodologies to accelerate feature delivery in response to customer demand.

Antonio Balza has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University. Antonio attended Boston University from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Wentworth Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2001 to 2005.

In addition to their degrees, Antonio Balza has also obtained a certification in ITIL v3 from AXELOS Global Best Practice in March 2015.
