Creative Director at Buildkite

Mitch James has a diverse work experience in various creative roles. Mitch is currently working as a Creative Director at Buildkite since August 2022. Before that, they served as a Visual Design Lead at Buildkite from October 2021 to July 2022 and as a Senior Visual Designer from July 2021 to October 2021.

Prior to their time at Buildkite, Mitch worked as a Digital Lead at Helicopter Creative from December 2019 to May 2021.

Furthermore, Mitch worked as a Senior Designer at George P Johnson from May 2012 to July 2014. Mitch worked on various projects for clients such as Adobe, LinkedIn, Amazon Web Services, Nuix, and more.

Starting their career, Mitch worked as a Freelance Designer since September 2009, undertaking independent projects and contract work for various studios, agencies, and corporations.

Mitch James' education history begins in 2002 when they attended Billy Blue College of Design. Mitch completed their Advanced Diploma in Design from Billy Blue College of Design in 2004. In the same year, they enrolled at Swinburne University of Technology and earned their Bachelor of Design, Hons degree with a focus on Design and Visual Communications.

In 2014, Mitch James attended Tractor Design School for a short period of time, completing the Industry Graphic Design Program with a specialization in Strategy & Studio Process.

Most recently, in 2021, Mitch James enrolled in the Strategy Masterclass at Jim Antonopoulos, where they are currently pursuing further education in Brand Strategy.
