Renata George

Renata George is an experienced program director and investor with a strong background in venture capital and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as Program Director at VC Academy since February 2017, Renata also holds the position of Diversity In Venture Capital at PEI - Alternative Insight since January 2021, focusing on increasing diversity within the venture capital community. Renata has been involved as an investor in multiple startups since June 2020, including Handl, Butlr, Spenny, BuildStream, Sable, and Coursalytics, all of which are associated with Y Combinator's programs. Additionally, Renata acts as a strategic advisor for awarenow and is an angel investor with AngelList since March 2010, engaging in various startups such as RealSpeaker and BiMetall+. Renata holds an MBA degree in Venture Investments and Finance Management from the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and has degrees in Government Relations and Business Administration from other prestigious institutions.
