Who We Are:

Bukhari Lab is an interdisciplinary research team of biomedical informaticians, artificial intelligence researchers, healthcare professionals, and software engineers. We develop trustworthy, explainable, and clinically grounded AI technologies for complex healthcare and biomedical challenges.

What We Do:

We design and evaluate advanced methods in biomedical data science, natural language processing, knowledge engineering, clinical coding, healthcare interoperability, and neuro-symbolic AI. Our work brings together clinical expertise, evidence, and human oversight to build systems that are technically rigorous, understandable, and useful in real-world healthcare settings.

Why We Do It:

Healthcare AI should do more than generate predictions. It should support better decisions, strengthen human expertise, and earn the trust of clinicians, researchers, and patients. We pursue research that is transparent, reproducible, and designed for meaningful clinical and societal impact.
