Ellen Esterhay

Ellen Esterhay is a Director and digital strategist at Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI). She brings nearly a decade of experience working at the intersection of paid media and creative to a range of BPI clients, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Climate Power.

In her previous role at creative agency Artemis Ward, Ellen led a global sustainability campaign for Microsoft and developed cross-platform digital engagement strategies for Nike Basketball.

She took a hiatus from agency life in 2020 to join Biden for President's paid media team as a video producer, where she produced 17 aired spots, including creative that appeared on the BET Awards and NFL Sundays.

In 2018, Ellen helped manage statewide, multi-million dollar digital persuasion and acquisition programs at GMMB. Her first foray into political advertising was in 2016 as part of the production teams for Hillary for America and the Democratic National Convention.

Ellen began her career as a press assistant on the campaign trail. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Mandarin Chinese and World Politics from Hamilton College. She lives in Washington, D.C.
