Melody Meyer

Managing Director at Bully Pulpit Interactive

Melody Meyer is a Managing Director in Bully Pulpit Interactive's (BPI) New York office, where she leads strategic communications work by building integrated earned, owned, and paid media campaigns for advocacy and corporate clients.

Melody is an expert in advocacy communications, and over her career she has built campaigns that reach global leaders and parents in public housing alike. Her clients have received needle-moving coverage in the New York Times, Washington Post, Financial Times, Associated Press, and on NPR, ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN, as well as countless local newspapers and news broadcasts.

In 2018, Melody built her own communications and media consulting practice, working with clients whose work changes the world for better. She built and managed the PR network for the TIME’S UP Legal Defense fund, which provides support for those speaking out against workplace sexual harassment and assault.

Prior to her client work, Melody ran communications at two nonprofit advocacy organizations – one focused on education reform in the U.S. and another supporting international impact investing. She coordinated a national advocacy campaign and ran all communications for parent-led lawsuits in New York, New Jersey, and Minnesota fighting education laws that disadvantage students in low-income schools. In impact investing, Melody worked with industry pioneers at the Rockefeller Foundation and in the U.S., U.K., and E.U. governments to bring impact investing into the mainstream – by sharing research, educating reporters, and launching the world’s premier convening for impact investors from financial companies, large-scale philanthropies, and government.

Earlier in her career, Melody was a press officer for the New York City Department of Education, during Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s second term. Melody holds a degree in communications from the University of Pennsylvania.
