Steve Pierce

Steve Pierce is a Senior Director at Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI), where he helps companies, causes, and campaigns connect with key audiences and achieve meaningful goals through strategic communications.

Most recently, Steve served as the Director of Battleground State Communications for Priorities USA, the largest Super PAC supporting Joe Biden’s campaign for the White House. In this role, he led an on-the-ground, integrated communications program, leveraging earned, paid, and social media tactics to shape the narrative about the 2020 presidential election across four crucial battleground states.

Prior to his time at Priorities, Steve spent seven years as a leader at Hattaway Communications, where he advised a variety of progressive clients across politics, government, advocacy, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector on matters of message and strategy. Drawing on insights from psychology and linguistics, best practices from business, and lessons learned from his background in political campaigns, he led countless teams in executing complex research and communications projects for some of the biggest names in their respective fields — such as the Democratic National Committee, the Rockefeller Foundation, Harvard University, and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Steve earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Brigham Young University and a master's degree in political management from The George Washington University.
