Eija Piispa

Eija Piispa is a seasoned professional in the food industry, currently serving as a Senior R&D and Innovation Leader for Spreads at Bunge since September 2010, after previously holding the role of Margarine Innovation Leader and Innovation Leader for Spreads. Eija has extensive experience in leading innovation and product development projects at a European level, fostering collaboration within multicultural teams across Bunge EMEA. Prior to joining Bunge, Eija held the position of Product Development Manager at Bunge Finland, overseeing both margarine application and innovation projects. Eija's earlier experience includes roles at Raisio, where responsibilities encompassed R&D work in the Margarine division, project management for research initiatives, and laboratory management. Eija began a professional career as a researcher at the University of Helsinki, specializing in lipid oxidation analytics. Eija holds a Master’s degree in Food Chemistry from the University of Helsinki.
