William Mathews

Chief Engineer at Bunnell Lammons Engineering

Mr. Mathews is Chief Engineer with more than three decades of professional engineering experience. He is responsible for professional development and technical review/oversight of junior engineers at BLE and for implementing/maintaining AASHTO accreditation of the laboratory for our Greenville, SC office. Mr. Mathews has directed and/or performed the drilling operations, laboratory testing and engineering analysis for numerous geotechnical related construction projects in a variety of geologic settings.

He has extensive geotechnical engineering and construction materials engineering and testing experience on industrial, governmental, institutional, transportation, commercial and water/wastewater projects. Mr. Mathews taught geotechnical engineering review classes through the Clemson University Office of Continuing Engineering Education for candidates preparing to take the professional engineering exam. Mr. Mathews holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a registered professional engineer in SC, NC, GA and AL.

Bill and his family enjoy spending time at the lake and listening to live music. He enjoys riding motorcycles in the mountains and on the track whenever he can.
