Nuo Chen has a diverse range of work experience in the legal field. In 2018, Nuo Chen worked as a Legal Intern in the Financial Instrument Team at Zhong Lun Law Firm, where they assisted in documentation preparation and conducted legal research on financial supervision. From 2019 to 2019, Nuo Chen served as an Arbitration Secretary at the Shanghai Arbitration Commission, where they assisted with administrative tasks and conducted research on the arbitration legal system. In 2020, Nuo Chen was a Legal Intern at KUKA, where they drafted legal documents, updated industry regulatory policies, and participated in research on GDPR. Additionally, in 2020, Nuo Chen worked as a Research Assistant at the Swiss International Law School, contributing to the research and incorporation of Chinese case law and statute in the draft of a book on global sales and contract law. From 2020 to 2021, Nuo Chen worked as a Contract Specialist (paralegal) at Eaton, drafting and reviewing agreements and preparing transaction documents for M&A transactions. In 2022, Nuo Chen held two positions at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, first as a Student Trainee in International Arbitration and then as a Law Assistant in International Arbitration, where they conducted legal research, monitored news related to targeted companies, and prepared speaking notes and presentations. Currently, Nuo Chen works as a Junior Compliance Officer at bunq.
Nuo Chen completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with a Minor in Finance from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, where they studied from 2016 to 2020. Following their undergraduate studies, Nuo Chen pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) in International investment law and international trade law at the University of Amsterdam, during the period from 2021 to 2022. In addition, Nuo Chen obtained several certifications, including being a Young ICCA Member, acquiring a Legal Professional Qualification Certificate from the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China in April 2021, and participating in the Xiamen Academy of International Law Summer Program in 2019.
