Glenn McPhee

Glenn McPhee joined Bupa in July 2025 as Director, Government Partnerships and Bupa Medical Visa Services, and now leads Government Services.

Glenn’s professional journey began with 15 years’ service as an Army officer in the Australian Defence Force, including operational service in the Middle East with the United Nations.

Glenn joined Bupa from Electro Optic Systems, Australia’s second-largest Defence exporter, where he served as Vice President of International Programs, overseeing all aspects of customer delivery. Prior to this, Glenn was Chief Operating Officer at ManpowerGroup, leading operations across three businesses, including sales and strategic change programs, and prior to that role as Director of Defence Force Recruiting, guiding a large and complex public-private collaboration in both Australia and the Middle East.

Passionate about people leadership and purpose-driven work, Glenn is especially committed to supporting veterans. This is reflected in previous roles as Chair and non-executive director for The Right Direction, delivering communications and social skills training in juvenile detention centres and schools, and as a non-executive director for Defence in Business Pty Ltd, helping veterans transition to the business world.

Glenn holds a Bachelor’s Degree, a Master of International Relations, and is an alumnus of both the Australian Defence Force Academy and the Royal Military College, Duntroon. Based in Canberra with his wife and two young adult daughters, Glenn enjoys reading, travelling, and discovering new experiences.
