Jo Woods

Jo Woods has extensive experience in risk management and governance, currently serving as a Trustee at Amnesty International since November 2019 and as a Risk Director at Bupa since May 2025. Previously, Jo held the position of Chief Risk Officer at Niva Bupa and served as Risk & Governance Director for Bupa's Dental Care Services, where responsibilities included developing an operational risk framework for the UK Health Funding Business. Jo's consultancy experience includes leading a significant capital project for Nationwide Building Society and roles with Experian and Alliance & Leicester that focused on business lending and operations management. Jo holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations & Strategic Studies from Lancaster University and A Levels in Psychology, Geography, and History from Winstanley College.
