We respectfully acknowledge that Burnaby Public Library is located on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) Peoples. Each Nation has distinct histories and distinct traditional territories that fully or partially encompass the city.

We encourage you to learn more about the Host Nations whose ancestors have occupied and used these lands, including parts of present-day Burnaby, for thousands of years.

Burnaby Public Library is an urban library system of four branches that serves a diverse and changing community of more than 230,000.

BPL is big enough to give you opportunities to advance your skills, knowledge and career, yet small enough for you to get to know your colleagues in all four branches. We support and motivate staff to develop and grow.

We believe that diversifying our team makes our organization stronger and more reflective of the community we serve. We seek people who embrace empathy and bring different experiences and perspectives.
