Bill Schmidt

Bill Schmidt has extensive legal and executive experience, having served as Law Clerk at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and as Associate at Chadbourne & Parke LLP. Schmidt held various roles at Buckeye Partners, including General Counsel and Associate General Counsel, and served as President of Lodi Gas Storage, a subsidiary of Buckeye Partners. As Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and General Counsel at Enviva, Schmidt contributed to strategic oversight from March 2013 to December 2022. Recently, Schmidt was General Counsel at CoolSys and President and Senior Advisor at Burnham RNG, focusing on acquisitions and management of company assets. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law from The George Washington University Law School, an Executive Education in Finance from Harvard Business School, and an Executive Education in Management from The Wharton School, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Drew University.
