David Herd

David Herd is a Managing Partner at Buro Happold, a position held since December 1998, where responsibilities include influencing regenerative design and sustainable vision for global clients and architects, particularly across the US West Coast regions of San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. Prior to this role, David Herd served as an Associate at Wilkes Andrews from July 1994 to December 1998, managing the Birmingham office and leading MEP design projects in the cultural and commercial sectors. David Herd began a career in electrical engineering and lighting design as a Graduate Engineer at Hoare Lea from July 1989 to July 1994. David Herd completed a BEng(Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Plymouth from 1987 to 1991, following education at John of Gaunt School from 1985 to 1987.
