Grace Chen is a dedicated engineering professional with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a minor in design. Experience includes serving as Engineering Chair for the WashU Solar Decathlon Team, overseeing occupational therapy technologies, and collaborating with architects on house design for the 2023 Solar Decathlon Build Challenge. Previous roles include Scientific Researcher at Yorktown Science Research, Head of Computer Aided Design and Marketing & Communications for FIRST Robotics Team 6880, Marketing and Communications Intern at the WUSTL Career Center, as well as various leadership positions in WashU's community engagement and culture organizations. Currently a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at Buro Happold, Grace also gained experience as a summer intern in the Sustainable Engineering Studio at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Additionally, research was conducted at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, focusing on bats and bio-inspired robots.
