Cris R.

Cris R. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. They currently work at Burq as a Software Engineering Manager and also hold the position of Technical Project Manager. Previously, they worked at Prometheus Collective as the Founder & Lead Full Stack Software Engineer. They also had a role at HackerRank as a Technical Council for Software Engineering Disciplines. Before that, they co-founded Apparel Intelligence, Inc. and served as the CTO. They were also a Founding Engineer at a Stealth Startup within the Fintech market.

In terms of technical roles, Cris has experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer & Technical Product Owner at Material, where they were involved in software architecture design, product vision, and software management. They have also worked at GE as a Software Engineer Team Lead and Software Engineer.

Prior to their technical roles, Cris was a Co-Founder of MUSE, a technology company focused on music education. Cris R. completed a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Engineering, with a minor in International Affairs and Mathematics, from the University of Nevada, Reno between 2011 and 2014. In 2012, they also attended Beijing Jiaotong University for Computer Science and Engineering studies. Prior to these, between 2009 and 2010, Cris R. studied International Relations with minors in European Studies, Italian, and Mathematics at Università degli Studi di Torino. Additionally, Cris R. obtained certifications including Professional Scrum Product Owner™ I (PSPO I) from Scrum.org in May 2020, and Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance also in May 2020.
