Angel Robles

Software Engineer at Burro

Angel Robles is currently a robotic software engineer at Burro. Prior to this, they worked as a student research assistant at Berkeley Lab from June 2020 to April 2021. There, they developed a custom FPGA based hardware system in Verilog for high speed data collection and signal generation. They also implemented UART and SPI protocol to interface the FPGA with a PC and DAC respectively. Furthermore, they debugged all hardware interfaces using oscilloscope and logic analyzer. Before Berkeley Lab, Angel worked as an REU intern at UNM Center for High Technology Materials from May 2018 to August 2018. There, they modeled and analyzed different semiconductor structures of solar cells using PC1D simulation framework. They also compared simulated results to experimental ones to verify the model and suggest design improvements. Lastly, Kern County Public Works employed Angel as an engineering aide from July 2017 to August 2017. There, Angel collected samples from project sites to test in a materials lab. They also made sure samples met regulatory standards and that projects were ran under appropriate project outlines. Before all this, Angel worked as a busser at Mexicali Restaurants from January 2016 to May 2018.

Angel Robles completed a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley College of Engineering. Angel then went on to complete a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley College of Engineering.

Some of their coworkers include Shreshtha Basu - Robotic Software Engineer, Gabriel Smith - Software Engineer, and Malavika Manoj - Robotic Software Engineer. Angel Robles reports to Vibhor Sood, Co-Founder & Director of Engineering.
