Aemil Estvold has worked in the software engineering and development industry since 2014. Aemil began their career at Gecko Designs as a Backend Web Developer, where they developed and maintained complex WordPress and other CMS-based applications, developed WordPress and other CMS plugins and custom backend (API) functionality, and introduced, developed, and maintained Python-based DevOps infrastructure on AWS. In 2018, they joined TOMIS as a Back End Developer, where they designed and developed a Data Warehouse and Django based ETL pipeline for reservation and google services data, designed and developed Django REST API for ingestion of the Data Warehouse by frontend and data science teams, and managed and scaled PostgreSQL databases while optimizing SQL queries and database schemas for better performance. In 2019, they joined Routable as a Back End Developer, where they designed and developed Django REST API for ingestion by frontend and API clients, improved automated testing by 20%, including writing 500+ tests, and collaborated with Customer Success team to design and develop automated CRM features including notifications with services like Email, Slack, Intercom. Currently, they work at Burrow as a Senior Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure and Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure, where they maintain and develops custom data integrations with third-party service providers, maintains and improves automated testing and DevOps of microservice-based data infrastructure, and designs and develops a Flask REST API for use by the E-commerce application.

Aemil Estvold graduated from Big Sky High School in 2005 with a High School Diploma. Aemil then attended the University of Montana, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc in Computer Science.
