Ray Connolly

Ray Connolly is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the transportation sector. Currently serving as Senior Technical Manager Engineering at Bus Eireann since September 2005, Ray leads a team of mechanical engineers responsible for the specification, selection, production, delivery, and support of a fleet exceeding 1,100 vehicles. This role involves collaboration with global vehicle suppliers, Irish distributors, and key public transport stakeholders to ensure a safe and modern fleet. Prior to this position, Ray held various engineering roles at Bridgestone, Continental, and SEMPERIT AG, starting from Technical Service Engineer to Senior Engineer. Ray holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin.
