Charles Van Fleet is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in aerospace and defense industries. Currently at Busek since April 2025, Charles previously held the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer at Quest Defense from March 2023 to January 2025. At Sierra Space from May 2018 to March 2023, Charles served as the lead designer for the internal lights of the Dream Chaser spaceplane, focusing on designing parts to withstand various flight loads. Prior experience includes roles at Lumitron Corp, where Charles designed and analyzed lighting products for aerospace applications, and a co-op position at Dixie Aerospace, LLC, coordinating FAA certification processes.
