Joel Ramos

Joel Ramos has extensive experience in the banking industry, specifically in compliance and risk management roles. Joel is currently serving as the EVP, Chief Compliance Officer at Busey since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at BMO Harris Bank from September 2018 to January 2021, where they held the position of Chief Compliance Officer for US Personal & Commercial Banking. Joel also served as the SVP, Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at MB Financial Bank from March 2014 to September 2018. Before that, Joel worked as the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer at Urban Partnership Bank from August 2010 to March 2014. Joel started their career as a Bank Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in April 2006 and again from June 2000 to September 2005. Joel also gained experience as a Manager in BSA National Practice at Crowe Chizek from September 2005 to April 2006. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in compliance, risk management, and regulatory practices within the banking sector.

Joel Ramos has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois Chicago. Joel also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
