Kelli Wheeler

Kelli Wheeler has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry with a focus on commercial and business banking. Kelli started their career in 1998 as an Assistant Vice President at Citibank, N.A., where they analyzed, underwrote, and approved commercial loan requests. Kelli then moved to Wheaton Bank & Trust Company in 2000, where they served as a Vice President and Commercial Lender, prospecting new commercial loan and depository clients. Kelli joined BMO Harris Bank in 2005 as a Vice President, overseeing the prospecting and management of a $64 million commercial portfolio. In 2012, they joined JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Vice President and Business Banking Relationship Manager, where they spearheaded portfolio penetration through cross-selling and referrals, and mentored junior level bankers. Kelli later joined First Midwest Bank as an Assistant Vice President in 2017, responsible for customized loan structuring, analyzing financial statements, and managing a portfolio of 395 clients with total loans and deposits of $30 million. Kelli is currently working at Busey as a Vice President and Commercial Portfolio Relationship Manager.

Kelli Wheeler completed their education with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, majoring in Finance, General, from the University of Illinois Springfield. Kelli attended this university from 1991 to 1995. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General, from Lincoln Land Community College, where they studied from 1988 to 1990.

In addition to their academic achievements, Kelli Wheeler obtained the Wealth Management Specialist™ or WMS™ Professional Designation from the College for Financial Planning in February 2022.
