Sandy Demond

Sandy DeMond has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Sandy currently holds the role of SVP - Director of Community Banking at Busey since January 2021. In this position, Sandy is responsible for managing and executing the company's business strategy and practices to drive organic growth while focusing on community relationships. Additionally, they have been serving as the VP-Community Lending at Busey since October 2019.

Prior to joining Busey, Sandy worked at TheBANK of Edwardsville, starting in October 2012. Sandy held the roles of Business Development / Community Development Mortgage Lender and Assistant Vice President Business Development. Their responsibilities included managing development and implementation of programs, utilizing bilingual skills to assist in the Hispanic market, increasing visibility, and developing financial literacy seminars.

Before their tenure at TheBANK of Edwardsville, Sandy worked at IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union from October 2010 to October 2012 as a Mortgage Loan Originator. Sandy focused on developing and maintaining referral relationships, coordinating operations, and ensuring smooth real estate transactions.

Sandy's earlier experience includes working at Wells Fargo Bank as a Store Manager from April 2008 to August 2010, overseeing multiple stores and leading sales teams. Sandy also worked at Associated Bank as a Personal Banker from April 2007 to April 2008, actively selling various bank products and establishing relationships with customers.

At the beginning of their career, Sandy served as an Assistant Manager at Wells Fargo Financial from October 2003 to April 2007. In this role, they assisted the store manager in achieving store goals, selling financial services, and providing excellent customer service.

Sandy DeMond completed their high school education at Warren Township High School from 1995 to 1999. Following that, they pursued a degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Marketing & Spanish, at Augustana College from 1999 to 2003.
