ButFor helps businesses understand, measure and prepare for business interruption risk before a loss happens, and supports them if one occurs.

Business interruption is one of the largest and least understood risks on a balance sheet. Many companies carry coverage without knowing how it would actually respond, what documentation would be required, or how a loss would be quantified.

ButFor tackles this by combining business interruption expertise with software that helps companies:
• Assess their business interruption exposure
• Identify gaps between operations, financials, and insurance coverage
• Organize financial data in a way that aligns with policy requirements
• Model potential downtime scenarios and impacts
• Prepare for the documentation and calculations required in a claim

If a loss occurs, ButFor helps translate real-world disruption into clear, defensible business interruption calculations that insurers can evaluate.

We work with policyholders, brokers and risk professionals to bring clarity to a risk that is often only addressed after it’s too late.

Because business interruption isn’t just an insurance issue, it’s a business continuity issue.
