One thing that’s essential to living in a big city like Chicago is connection. Our story began when two women from different worlds took a moment to have a genuine conversation about women’s health. Their shared set of values and interests would create the start to something much bigger than just them two.

Two women equally challenged in finding a true North with their holistic wellness journeys realized quickly they were not alone. Impassioned to uncover and put into practice healthier ways of living, Alejandra Moya and Brittany Martin founded Butterfly Effect — a source of safety, place for stillness and exchange of ideas to improve our daily lives and relationship with self and others.

Healing as an individual has its place, but one can also find great support through community. There is power in numbers. And when women unite with a shared mission, it’s transformative. When women of multiple backgrounds come together, the healing potential is profound.

Together, we create a ripple effect that will better not just our own lives, but the lives of those we interact with outside of our safe space to Just BE: Butterfly Effect.
