Samuel Hu

Samuel Hu is currently the General Counsel at Button Finance. Prior to joining Button Finance, they were the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at PeerIQ from January 2018 to March 2019. Before that, they were the Director - Financial Institution Partnerships at OnDeck from April 2016 to January 2018.

Mr. Hu began their professional career as an Associate - Securitization and Banking at Chapman and Cutler LLP from April 2012 to June 2014. Samuel then worked as an Associate - Structured Credit Trading and Structuring Desk at Morgan Stanley from August 2009 to January 2012. After that, they became the Financial Markets Associate at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP from July 2007 to June 2009. Mr. Hu started their career as an Articling Student (Law Clerk) at Stikeman Elliott LLP from July 2006 to May 2007.

After completing their undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Simon Fraser University, Samuel Hu went on to obtain their law degree from The University of British Columbia. Samuel is currently a member of the CFA Institute and holds a certification from the Disaster Recovery Institute as an Associated Business Continuity Professional.
