Daniel Karanja has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Daniel has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise in finance and accounting.

Most recently, Daniel has been serving as the Chief Financial Officer at BuyPower since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Africa Partnership Development for Zeta Software Ltd at www.zetasoftwares.com from May 2018 to December 2020.

From 2016 to 2020, Daniel worked as a Corporate Finance Consultant at Kenergy Renewables Limited. In this role, they managed finance activities for multiple entities involved in the development of FIT renewable energy projects, handled investor budget management and reporting, and managed grants.

Between 2016 and 2020, Daniel also served as a Team Leader at Systems Reengineered Limited, an IT company. Here, they contributed to the development of structures within the company, engaged clients for business development purposes, and conducted negotiation and contract signing.

In their previous roles, Daniel worked as an Accounts & Finance Manager - Africa at Barefoot Power from March 2012 to January 2015, where they prepared budgets, reviewed accounts records, and prepared monthly management reports. Daniel also had experience as an Internal Auditor at Promaco Limited from June 2011 to May 2012 and as an Accountant at Blues Sky Revolution Limited from May 2010 to May 2012.

Earlier in their career, Daniel worked as an Accountant at Bush Rover Ltd from April 2010 to May 2012 and at Neil Jones Consultancy from February 2007 to April 2010.

Additionally, Daniel has been dedicated to their personal role as a husband and father since June 2011, emphasizing their commitment to family matters.

Daniel Karanja attended Strathmore University from 2014 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a focus on Accounts & Finance. Prior to attending university, they also obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from KASNEB in December 2013.
