Derek Miller

Derek Miller is a seasoned professional in computer vision and machine learning, currently serving as a Senior Computer Vision / Machine Learning Engineer at Buzz Solutions since October 2025. Prior to this role, Derek held the position of Technical Lead in Deep Learning and Computer Vision at Leica Biosystems from August 2020 to September 2025. Derek's experience includes senior software engineering roles at Ezoic and DeepMap, Inc., as well as a software engineering position at Lockheed Martin. Derek began a career in engineering with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, where undergraduate studies were complemented by an internship at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems focusing on reverse engineering and process optimization.
